To make the simple Maggi spicy and tangy, you can add some soy sauce, green chillies, carrots, capsicum and onion in it. Then fry it lightly on high flame, so that all the flavours mix well.

The ingredients for making Chowmein Style Maggi are as follows:

You will need 3-4 packets of Maggi. 

1- Capsicum: 1 large, finely chopped

2 - Carrots: 2, finely chopped

3 - Garlic: 5-6 cloves, crushed

4 - Cumin: 1 teaspoon

5 - Onion: 1, finely chopped

6 - Green chillies: chopped, according to taste

  • Tomato: 1, finely chopped
  • Green peas: 1 cup
  • Red chili powder: according to taste
  • Turmeric Powder: 1/2 teaspoon
  • Oregano: 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper powder: 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt: according to taste
  • Tomato sauce: 2-3 teaspoons
  • Red chili sauce: 1-2 teaspoons
  • Soy sauce: 1-2 teaspoons
  • 17 - Vinegar: 1/2 teaspoon

Here is the easy and step-by-step recipe to make Chowmein Style Maggi:

1 - Steaming Maggi

  • Heat water in a steamer and place Maggi on a plate and let it cook.
  • If you like spicy taste then you can add Maggi masala on top.
  • Also cut 2-3 pieces of capsicum and steam it with Maggi, which will enhance the aroma and taste.

2 - Preparing the vegetables

  • Heat oil in a pan and fry cumin seeds in it.
  • Add finely chopped garlic and fry lightly.
  • When the garlic turns light golden, add onion, fry it and add turmeric powder.

3 - Vegetable Mix

  • As soon as the onion is fried, add carrot, capsicum and green peas and cook well.
  • Add salt as per taste.
  • When the vegetables are lightly cooked, add tomatoes and cook until they melt.
  • Now add oregano to enhance the taste.

4 - Mixing sauce and Maggi

  • Add red chili sauce, tomato sauce, soy sauce and vinegar.
  • Mix everything well.
  • Add the steamed Maggi and mix gently.
  • If you have added Maggi masala, then keep in mind to mix the masala well first.

5 servings

  • Your Chow Mein-Style Maggi is ready. Serve it on a hot plate.
