UP News: Design of Greno West Elevated Road changed, now it will be 6 lane, new plan included in DPR

In response to the ever-increasing traffic pressure, the design of the elevated road being built from Greater Noida West to NH-9 has been revised. Initially, the project was only four lanes, but has been expanded to accommodate traffic congestion and future needs.

Greater Noida: This is a big relief for the people of Greater Noida West. In view of the ever-increasing traffic pressure, the design of the elevated road being built from Greater Noida West to NH-9 has been changed to 6 lanes.
Approximately 400 crore rupees will be spent on this approximately 4 kilometer long road. Its construction will make travel between Delhi-NCR and especially Noida-Ghaziabad easier and faster.
Local residents and commuters will get great relief from the problem of traffic jams and traffic pressure will also be reduced to a great extent.
The residents of Greater Noida West are now in for improved transportation. In response to increasing traffic pressure, the design of the elevated road from Greater Noida West to NH-9 has undergone a major change.
Originally planned as a four-lane road, it will now be expanded to six lanes. This 4-kilometer-long road, built at a cost of approximately ₹400 crore, will provide relief from traffic jams for commuters to and from Delhi-NCR, making travel easier and faster.
Estimated cost is around Rs 250 to 300 crore.
This elevated road will directly connect to NH-9 and the Delhi-Meerut Expressway via Shahberi and Crossings Republik. This will make travel within Delhi-NCR faster and easier.
To address traffic congestion, the design of the elevated road starting from Murti Chowk has undergone a major change. Initially, it was proposed to be a 4-lane, 2.5-kilometer stretch, with an estimated cost of approximately ₹250-300 crore (₹250-300 crore).
Later, the length was increased to 4 kilometers, and the cost was estimated at approximately ₹400 crore (₹400 crore). To further improve the road, the authority has now decided to expand it to 6 lanes.
A recent meeting was held between the CEO of the Greater Noida Authority and the Chairman of the NHAI, in which it was agreed to commence the project soon.
The cost of the project will be shared by the four authorities.
Greater Noida Authority CEO Ravi Kumar NG stated that the detailed project report (DPR) for this elevated road will now include a six-lane design. Land acquisition in the remaining areas will be handled by NHAI. However, the exact share of the total cost has not yet been determined.
The cost of this elevated road project will be shared by four authorities -

- Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA),
- Noida Authority, and
- Yamuna Authority
