News, Digital Desk- ( Noida) Private and public transport is being strengthened to facilitate the movement of passengers to Noida Airport (Jewar). Roadways buses from Uttarakhand, Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan will ply to the airport. For this, Yamuna International Airport Pvt. Ltd. (YAPL) has signed MoU with some roadways, while the process of contracting with the rest is underway.

Preparations for resuming flights from the airport are in the final stages. Prior to the start of operations, an emphasis is being placed on connectivity. 

Buses will be provided to connect neighboring states. Buses will run from Dehradun, Rishikesh, Haridwar, and Haldwani in Uttarakhand to Noida Airport.

Haryana is operating bus services from major cities in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan, aimed at enhancing connectivity to the Delhi airport. Buses will operate from Chandigarh, Gurgaon, Faridabad, and Palwal in Haryana. 

In Delhi, DTC buses will operate from ISBT Kashmere Gate, Sarai Kale Khan, Anand Vihar, and New Delhi Railway Station to the airport, for which a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed. 

MoUs are also underway with the governments of Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan. Buses will operate from Jaipur, Bharatpur, and Dholpur in Rajasthan, with a decision expected soon. In addition to these services, shuttle bus services will also be launched to connect major cities in the NCR.

Agreement has been done with app based catch companies-

Agreements have also been reached with app-based catch-up companies. The airport management has signed a deal with Mahindra Logistics. Contracts have been signed with Uber and Rapido. The process for an agreement with Ola is underway.

Construction of GTC on 20 acres in final stage

Construction of Noida Airport's Ground Transportation Center (GTC) is in its final stages. Spanning 20 acres between Terminals 1 and 2, the GTC is being developed as a multimodal hub. In the first phase, the GTC will feature over 1,200 car parking spaces, a dedicated cab taxiway, and charging points for electric vehicles. Construction will be completed in several phases.

It will integrate high-speed rail, rapid rail, bus services, pod taxis or light rail, and other future modes of transport. Once fully operational, the GTC will have parking for private cars, taxis, and buses. The Metro and high-speed rail stations will be underground. It will be able to handle over 40 buses, 4,500 cars, and 3,500 two-wheelers.

Seven aerobridges are ready, 10 are to be built.

Passenger facilities are being improved at Noida International Airport. Ten aerobridges are being constructed, seven of which are complete and the remaining three are in the final stages. 

Once these aerobridges are operational, the airport will be able to handle passengers from ten aircraft simultaneously. As passenger numbers increase in the future, the number of aerobridges will be increased.

Noida Airport Nodal Officer Shailendra Bhatia stated that buses from several states will come to the international airport. Agreements have been reached with several states for this purpose. 

The process is underway with several states. Agreements have also been reached with app-based taxi companies. Passengers will enjoy improved connectivity.
