A massive fire broke out in four districts of Haryana, with fire brigade vehicles working throughout the night to extinguish the flames

Amid the Diwali celebrations, several Haryana districts were rocked by a spate of fires late Sunday night. Massive fires broke out in various locations in Gurugram, Hisar, Panipat, and Ambala. These incidents caused losses worth crores of rupees. Dozens of fire department vehicles worked throughout the night to extinguish the flames.

Fire breaks out at millet threshing floors and warehouse in Gurugram

In Jodi village, Gurugram district, fireworks caused a fire in millet fields. Eight acres of post-harvest millet piles were engulfed in flames. 

According to fire officer Narendra, "The call was received around 8:15 pm, and fire teams from Manesar and surrounding areas were immediately dispatched to the scene."

The flames were so intense that they threatened to spread to the surrounding fields. With the help of villagers, it was brought under control after about two and a half hours.

Simultaneously, a fire broke out at a warehouse in Gurugram's Rathiwas village. Five fire brigades were dispatched from Sector 29, Udyog Vihar, and Bhim Nagar fire stations. 

The warehouse contained plastic and electronic goods, causing the fire to spread rapidly. The fire department continued to extinguish the blaze until late at night.

E-scooty showroom gutted in Hisar

A fire broke out at shop number 305 of Hisar's Auto Market, where an e-scooter showroom was located. It was reported that showroom employees had lit a lamp after a puja and left, causing the fire to spread.

Three fire brigade vehicles arrived at the scene and after two hours of effort, the fire was brought under control. However, by then, approximately 70 scooters and 200 battery sets stored inside had been completely burned. The incident caused panic in the area.

According to the showroom owner, thousands of scooters were ready for delivery after the festival, which has resulted in huge financial loss.

Tent house and garbage catch fire in Panipat

A rocket ignited a fire at the Jagdamba Tent House in Virat Nagar, Panipat. Plastic and cloth materials stored there fueled the flames. Fire crews quickly arrived and brought the fire under control.

Meanwhile, in the city's Jyoti Colony, children lit firecrackers and set a nearby garbage dump on fire. The fire quickly spread, but the fire brigade's prompt action prevented any major accidents.

Fire breaks out in a warehouse near a Gurudwara in Ambala

A massive fire broke out in a warehouse near the Manji Sahib Gurudwara in Ambala. The fire spread rapidly due to the wood and cloth stored in the warehouse. Locals reported seeing smoke rising late at night and alerting the fire department.

Nearly a dozen vehicles arrived at the scene, and fire crews cordoned off the area and began extinguishing the flames. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation. The warehouse owner has not yet been identified.

Relief work and administration's appeal

Fire brigade teams were deployed in all four districts, and rescue and relief operations continued throughout the night. Crops were burned in some areas, while property worth lakhs was destroyed elsewhere. The administration has appealed to the public to exercise caution in light of such incidents on Diwali night.

Officials have advised that when lighting fireworks on occasions like Diwali, maintain a safe distance from surrounding areas, electrical connections, and flammable materials. Following fire safety rules can help prevent such accidents.
