After 8 years, private buses will resume operating from Noida depot to these 10 villages, providing new facilities.
After eight years, a new beginning is about to take place in Noida. The Uttar Pradesh Transport Corporation has now completed preparations to restart private bus operations on rural routes.

Starting Monday, the corporation will issue tenders for 10 routes. These will feature ordinary diesel and CNG buses operating in the district's rural areas—villages and towns outside the city.
Due to business losses over the years, two air-conditioned buses had to be discontinued in 2017, causing inconvenience to residents of Noida and surrounding areas.
The new model is different from the previous model; the operator will now have its own conductor, providing additional convenience. Previously, the operator had both a driver and a corporation conductor; now both will be private, paving the way for faster and more efficient service.
Initially, the plan was to operate minibuses, but now the decision has been made to contract diesel and CNG-powered buses.
Following orders from headquarters, a tender process has been established to provide opportunities for private bus operators. Operators will now hire their own conductors, which will increase service flexibility and local employment opportunities.
The Noida depot now operates buses to several cities, including Agra, Mathura, Haridwar, Aligarh, Meerut, Shikohabad, and Lucknow. Ordinary and air-conditioned buses are now operating on rural and main routes.
Air-conditioned buses will continue to operate in major cities, but rural areas will be provided with a simple, affordable, and convenient service for everyday travel.

Contract rules have been significantly revised to attract private operators. Officials hope to address the transportation shortage in rural areas and provide employment opportunities for local youth.
According to the proposal, these buses will serve the needs of the public, connecting city outskirts, small villages, towns, and employment routes.
