Gold prices 26 Sep 2025: Gold prices fall after a steady rise, silver prices also fall slightly

Gold 24 carat price: Today is the fourth day of Navratri, and on Thursday, September 26, gold and silver prices fell. Gold has become cheaper by approximately ₹600 compared to the previous day.

 In major North Indian cities like Delhi, Lucknow, Jaipur, Noida, and Ghaziabad, 10 grams of 24 carat gold is trading at approximately ₹1,15,500.

Silver prices also fell slightly

Similarly, silver prices also saw a slight decline. Silver fell by ₹100 today to ₹1,39,900 per kg. Gold and silver prices continue to fluctuate during the festive season, and experts believe that further price changes may be expected in the coming days based on international market and domestic demand.

Gold prices saw a slight decline today, but despite this, gold is still trading near its peak levels. This is due more to international factors than domestic factors. Indeed, speculation is rife that the US Federal Reserve may cut interest rates by the end of the year. If this happens, the dollar and bond markets will weaken, and investors will turn to gold and silver as safe havens.

Additionally, central banks and large investors have been consistently purchasing gold in recent days. Exchange-traded funds (ETFs) have also seen steady inflows. All of these factors have driven strong demand for gold and silver, pushing their prices to new record levels.
