Electric cars will be as cheap as petrol and diesel, there will be a big reduction after 5 months

News, Digital Desk- ( Petrol) In a major development, the price of electric vehicles (EVs) will be comparable to petrol and diesel vehicles within the next four to six months. Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari made the announcement at a FICCI event.

He explained that this is possible because the cost of electric vehicle batteries has dropped significantly. This move could accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles in the country.

Previously, battery prices were $150 per kilowatt-hour, but now they have dropped to $55 to $65 per kilowatt-hour. He says that due to this shortage, the prices of electric scooters, cars, and buses will become comparable to those of petrol and diesel vehicles in the next four to six months.

Electric tractors and new engines will be developed-

According to the report, Nitin Gadkari has directed tractor companies and agricultural researchers to expedite work on clean energy-powered equipment. He has suggested developing electric tractors and engines that run on alternative fuels such as ethanol, CNG, or isobutanol.

Gadkari believes these innovations will play a crucial role in making India self-reliant, reducing diesel imports and pollution. They will also help increase incomes in rural areas.
