More than 11,000 people participated in the survey. It revealed that 69% of households in Delhi-NCR currently have one or more members experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, the flu, or viral fever.

The same group also conducted a survey in March 2025. More than 13,000 people from Delhi-NCR participated. It was found that 54% of households had one or more members with symptoms similar to COVID-19, the flu, or a viral fever.

Symptoms of H3N2

When a person is infected with H3N2 , they develop chills and a high fever. They may also experience a severe cough and sneezing. They may experience a sore and painful throat. 

A runny or blocked nose. They may feel nauseous. They may also experience pain in the stomach, head, muscles, and joints. In severe cases, breathing difficulties may also occur. These symptoms typically last 5 to 7 days. The fever subsides in about 3 days, but the cough may persist for several weeks.

Who is more at risk?

Although anyone can become infected with H3N2 , children, the elderly, pregnant women, and people with pre-existing medical conditions are at higher risk.

Prevention and treatment

If someone experiences flu-like symptoms for more than a week, don't take it lightly. Consult a doctor. Also, wear a mask. 

Cover your mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing. Wash your hands frequently with soap or sanitizer. Eat healthy foods. Drink warm water, and consult a doctor for treatment.
