Haryana employees get Diwali gift: Rs 1,000 salary hike and Rs 13,000 advance
The Haryana government has announced a festival advance of ₹13,000 for Class IV (Group D) employees working in all government departments, boards, corporations, and autonomous institutions.

This amount will be provided for upcoming festivals, including Diwali. This time, the amount has been increased by ₹1,000. Employees can apply until October 14th, and the money will be distributed by October 17th.
Key Terms and Conditions
- Only permanent or temporary Class IV employees likely to remain in service for at least 10 months will be eligible.
- A temporary employee is required to provide security for a permanent employee.
- The advance amount will be recovered in 10 equal monthly installments.
- Daily wage, contract, casual and work charged employees, employees posted in other departments on deputation will not be eligible for this scheme.
- If both husband and wife are government servants, then only one gets the benefit.
- The employee facing any punitive action will not get the benefit.
Application and approval process
- The application has to be submitted to the concerned office/DDO by 14th October.
- DDO will approve the advance amount after strict scrutiny.
- The amount will be disbursed by October 17, which will have to be returned in 10 installments.
Additional Terms
- In case of misuse of advance, penal interest at the rate of 10% will be charged.
- In case of giving advance to any ineligible employee, the DDO will be responsible and action will also be taken against him.
