Special facility for electric vehicles on expressways
The number of electric vehicles is rapidly increasing. In this context, the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has taken a significant step.
Two new expressways will be built in Uttar Pradesh, modeled after the Lucknow Expressway. These expressways will provide special facilities for electric vehicles. Charging stations for electric vehicles will be built on the new expressways.
Construction work on the Gwalior and Aligarh Expressway is set to begin in the next few months. It will take two years to build this expressway. Along with charging stations, food plazas and petrol and CNG pumps will also be built along both sides of the expressway.
An NHAI official stated that the number of electric vehicle users is rapidly increasing, and major companies are launching new models daily.
Therefore, to accommodate the growing number of such vehicles in the future, new expressways are being built that will be equipped with all the amenities associated with these vehicles.
The car will be charged in 15 to 20 minutes.
Two charging points will be installed on both sides of the Gwalior Expressway. Two electric vehicles will be able to be charged at a time at one point.
These will be fast chargers with which the vehicle can be charged in 15 to 20 minutes. Similarly, there will be two charging stations on both sides of the Aligarh Expressway.
Toilets for men and women will also be built here. Along with this, both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food will be available in the food plaza. Six lines will be made from both these expressways.
The expressway will be completed at a cost of Rs 4200 crore.
UP Weather: 32 districts of UP will experience heavy rain accompanied by thunder and lightning, with an alert for strong winds.
A budget of Rs 4200 crore has been prepared for the construction of this expressway from Gwalior to Rohta, Agra. For this, a hanging bridge will be constructed on the Chambal river.
It will take 2 years to build the expressway. With the construction of the expressway, the distance from Agra to Gwalior will be reduced to 88 kilometers.
Due to which this journey can be completed in one and a half hours. Currently, it takes two to two and a half hours to complete this journey.
This expressway will be connected to the third phase of the inner ring road of Agra, which will make it very easy to reach Yamuna Expressway, Lucknow Expressway and National Highway 19.
Aligarh Expressway Information
A 64-km expressway will be built from Khandauli to Aligarh. This expressway is being constructed at a cost of ₹3,400 crore.
This expressway will connect to the Yamuna Expressway, making it easier to reach Hathras and Aligarh. Construction will begin in October and will be completed in 24 months.
