Nose is very important in yoga and pranayama. All breathing exercises are done through the nose only, because it helps in mental peace, strengthening the nervous system and balancing the prana. Pranayama techniques like Anulom-Vilom, Nadi Shodhan and Bhramari are done through the nose only.
