Germany Permanent Residency: Permanent residency in Germany now costs only ₹11,500, Indians can also easily apply
Germany Permanent Residency: The fee for applying for permanent residency in Germany is now less than ₹11,500, making it even easier for Indians. Skilled workers, EU Blue Card holders, and highly qualified professionals can quickly obtain permanent residency under this scheme.
Germany has made permanent residency easier for all foreign nationals, including Indians. The German Settlement Permit, also known as Permanent Residency, allows you and your family to live and work there without any time limit. Whether you are an employee or self-employed, this permit is a secure way to settle permanently in Germany.
According to Germany's Residence Act, a skilled worker is anyone who holds a German or recognized foreign educational qualification, or equivalent vocational training. EU Blue Card holders and international researchers are also included in this category.
Applicants for permanent residence must have a residence permit valid for at least three years and have contributed to a pension for at least 36 months.
Furthermore, applicants must have a B1 level of German and a basic understanding of German law, society, and lifestyle, as demonstrated by a 'Living in Germany' test. They must also have adequate housing.
The process may be faster in some cases, such as for EU Blue Card holders, graduates of German universities, highly qualified professionals, and volunteer businesspeople.
For example, EU Blue Card holders can obtain status in 21 to 27 months, and German graduates are eligible in two years. Application fees range from 113 to 147 euros, which translates to approximately €11,666 to €15,176. This fee covers application processing, and may also include translations, language tests, and health insurance options.
Volunteer entrepreneurs can apply after successfully operating a business in Germany for three years, demonstrating that the business is financially secure and has the potential to grow.
Additionally, spouses of skilled workers can also apply independently for status if their spouses already hold a permanent residence permit, have been resident for three years, and are working at least 20 hours per week.
This permanent residence permit allows you to live, work, and access education and healthcare in Germany for a long time, and it also facilitates family reunification.
