Breaking News, Digital Desk- The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has developed a new plan to connect Yashobhoomi Metro Station, Dwarka Sector-25, with IFFCO Chowk Metro Station.
This proposed line will enhance connectivity within Delhi-NCR. DMRC has shared this proposal with the Haryana government and sought approval to prepare a detailed project report (DPR) for this metro line.
11-kilometer corridor-
The DMRC has proposed a new metro line, approximately 11 kilometers long, to the Haryana government, which is currently under discussion.
This line will begin at Yashobhoomi and run through Bharthal, Bijwasan, Carterpuri, and in front of Tau Devi Lal Park in Sector 23, to IFFCO Chowk on the Delhi-Jaipur Highway.
Under this proposal, Gurugram Metro Rail Limited (GMRL) will build an interchange station at the Sector 23 station of the proposed Old Gurugram Metro. The number of stations and the total cost will be known only after the DPR (Detailed Project Report) is prepared.
Who will benefit?
This will allow commuters from Delhi to easily reach the industrial and IT facilities developed in Udyog Vihar, DLF Cyber City, Hero Honda Chowk, Subhash Chowk, and Sector 44.
If this new metro line is implemented, it will be easier for Gurugram residents to access the DMRC's Delhi Airport line. Traveling from Delhi's Blue Line to Sector 21 in Dwarka will become easier. This DMRC proposal has not yet received approval from the Haryana government.
Chief Secretary will review the construction-
Haryana Chief Secretary Anurag Rastogi will review the construction of the Old Gurugram Metro. Guidelines will be issued to officials in the relevant departments to address any obstacles in the construction process.
In the second high-level meeting, the dispute regarding Cyber City Metro Station on Delhi-Jaipur Highway will be resolved. National Capital Region Transport Corporation has proposed the Namo Bharat Train station in front of DLF Cyber City.
